Rich is a bikejor and skijor specialist who is a very active member of both Team USA and the United States Federation of Sleddog Sports. His North American race record is long and impressive, with numerous wins in the one and two dog classes. Lately Rich has taken to expanding his resume with solid skijor and pulka races at the 2015 IFSS Winter World Championships in Germany and the 2016 IFSS European Championships in Savalen, Norway.
Not only does Rich support Team Dog Power as our Travel Coordinator, he also is a huge supporter of spreading awareness about dog-powered sports. Along with Kristine Wienberg and Rick Richter, Rich helped establish Windy City Mushers, a group that is dedicated to promoting active and healthy dog-centered lifestyles. Windy City Mushers host local events and clinics, and work with the local boy scouts and kids at local libraries in order to raise awareness about the benefits of the human-canine connection.
